The first project for 2025 is a fact. Last week I was commissioned by STRAAT to create this work of art at Altera Vastgoed. A satisfied customer & client and I am also very happy with the result!
This interesting and new development within my abstract work is another new discovery in both material and possibilities. For this project I created a composition for the customer that was continuous on three different walls, with three different directions and on three different structures. Left and right are painted by hand and in the middle I used a contour cut print on window film. In this way, a suggestion is created of a three-dimensional object that continues behind the windows and floats in the free space. It's nice to gain the trust of both client and customer and to have the opportunity to express new developments!
These 4 works were on display at the annual exhibition of The Hague Street Art at Amare in The Hague.
These 4 compositions were inspired upon the work I made in Eindhoven earlier this year. They all have got the same amount of shapes that form the composition and I worked with the same colours. This way these 4 paintings became a series. Mixed media on 3D canvas, 40x50 cm.
At the studio I have this wall to paint and practice on. In the back garden you can paint undistracted and relaxed. After weeks of rain and painting allot of commissioned pieces inside, I was able to paint a couple of hours for myself, outside.
I made this composition using a different background colour scheme as the previous piece in Eindhoven. making it more difficult to adept the textures in the colours of the top layer. Luckily I was able to still preserve enough texture in the piece!
On the 15th of June I participated on the very last edition of "Step In The Arena" in Eindhoven. This annual international orientated graffiti and street art event had its 15th anniversary and as every year took place at the "Berenkuil".
I had the honour to paint at this event with numerous talented artists from the Netherlands and abroad. The painting you see is the result of my one day trip to Eindhoven.
Very happy with this result. The composition, colours and textures came out really nice. Even the notches in the surface of the wall seem to be part of the wall painting.
